This state-of-the-art, dual energy X-ray (DEXA) machine allows us to quickly, accurately, and painlessly measure bone density in the spine or hips of patients.

This test will help physicians screen for, diagnose, and manage osteoporosis. It is the first and only such device on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Pre-authorization is generally required by most insurance companies. Test interpretation and reports are made by Dr. Marilyn S. Kellam who is certified by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.
